Mark your onsite tapes as damaged, then your copypool tapes will be
asked. Try it.

Hi,
I need some urgent help on restoring an SQL DB. I took a TDP SQL backup
tape offsite and am restoring it from a different tape drive offsite (on
a different TSM server, but the TSM server has the same TSM DB as the
original one).

The problem I am having is when I restore the DB from the SQL client
GUI, it keeps asking for the onsite tapes. I want to restore from the
offsite copy, not the onsite copy. I have tried to make the onsite
copies "inaccessible" so that it would ask for the offsite tape to
restore from. But instead it just comes up with this error message:
"ANR1420W Read access denied for volume BS0071L1 - volume
                       access mode = "unavailable".

I am running Tiv 5.1 on Win2K. I would really appreciate any help..

Thanks

regards,
Sona
