Thanks Mark,

I did some more investigation and found I needed these two includes with W2K
client:

include.systemobject all <new_management_class> (without this the
systemobject bind to the default class)
include ?:\...\* <new_management_class> (as you suggested)

as well the DIRMC you suggested at first.

I think this now all I need and we should start using less tapes from now
on,

Easy. In your client option file, put

        include <files_you_wish_to_move> <new_management_class>

At the next backup, the files included above will rebind to the new
management class.
