Then in that case sounds like the 3 opt files are needed. I haven't
ever
used more than one and all went to one filespace. May have been
more than one DB (I don't know, never asked DBA) but each machine
had ONE application.

May have to make some changes in Oracle RMAN for this too,
DBA should have info on that.

Then how do I create distinct filespaces for each database as is
suggested?

No, not unless you have a reason for doing so. Like if these DB's
are for different applications or something like that. It depends
on your DBA's requirements and how Oracle and RMAN is setup.

More complicated to do it with 3, so don't unless necessary.

I have 3 Oracle databases (DB1, DB2, DB3) that reside on SERVERA.  I'm
going to call the client SERVERA_ORA. Should I point to 3 distinct
tdpo.opt files so I can create 3 distinct file spaces?

'ENV=(TDPO_OPTFILE=.../DB1/tdpo.opt)'
'ENV=(TDPO_OPTFILE=.../DB2/tdpo.opt)'
'ENV=(TDPO_OPTFILE=.../DB3/tdpo.opt)'

Any suggestions would be appreciated. thx.
