Does HIPPA specifically dictate 1024 bit encryption?  I think the answer is
no, but if it is yes, all the software vendors are hosed.  As customers we
will have 1 server per user.  This will take so many resources to accomplish
we will never be able to backup the data.

Has anyone heard if there are any plans to increase the encryption strength
from 56 bit DES to at least 1024 bit? We have requirements because of the
HIPAA (Health Information Portability and Accountability
Act) stuff. Thanks in advance.
