We've been implementing reseting the HI back immediately after the migration
task starts. This way if any backups happen before you reset the HI and LO
to normal you won't be thrashing the system with migration tasks when the
data comes in with HI=0 and LO=0.
UPD STG BACKUPPOOL HI=0 LO=0
UPD STG BACKUPPOOL HI=90

Hello Farren,
you can use an administrative schedule, to do the job for you. Use the
following command:
update stgpool <diskpoolname> high=0 low=0
The server starts migration immediately!
Later on you can set your thresholds back to 70% and e.g. 50% with the same
command.
For better control of migration activities use allways an administrative
schedule!
