I have not seen unified criteria about the time spent for AUDITDB and it's
normal because, everybody has different machines, different TSM server version,
different DB sizde and log size and so on.
Anyway, i would like to give you some examples about the time spent for some of
our clients.
- 10 hours: 8 Gb DB and 2 Gb LOG. Using TSM server 4.2.2.6 on windows NT 4.0
on A Netfinity pentium III with 2 Gb RAM.
- 3 hours: 5Gb DB and 1 Gb LOG. Using TSM server 4.2.1.7 on Solaris 7.
- 4 hours: 4Gb DB and 2 Gb LOG. Using TSM server 4.2.1.9 on AIX. Server is an
H80 with two proccessors ans 2 Gb RAM.
Like you can see, in my opinion, its impossible to know the exact time for an
auditdb.
