I am interested in finding out if anyone is using the supplied TSM API
to back up multiple instances of DB2 on a single Windows platform -
specifically how you manage the association between the instance and the
backup images.

The problem we have is when a restore is invoked thereturned  list of
backups does not differentiate between  the DB2 instances. This
therefore leads to the risk of a backup for one instance can overwriting
another.

We are considering modifying the API so that it will set the TSM client
(one client per instance) base upon the DB2 environmental variable
LOGFILE PATH (a sub-string of the setting contains the instance name
which will be set to the TSM client name)

Any comment or suggestions (other than move it off of Windows - it is
not up to me) would be appreciated
