But don't forget that it will execute the dump automatically for EVERY
schedule run against this node. Regardless if it's a backup or to run a
command.

I've found that for situations like this it's better to run the whole thing
from a shell script and doing the return code checking. Returning with a
non-zero code from the script will cause the schedule event to Fail.

Also what you could do is write an script that performs a dump, and then
add the following parameter to your dsm.sys file:

PRESCHEDULECMD "/direc/todatabase/dbdump"

where /direc/todatabase/dbdump is the actuall script. What this will do
is, execute the dump atomatically before the scheduled backup starts.
