We just completed upgrading from TSM 3.7.1 to TSM 5.1.1.0 on an AIX 4.3
test server. This is not a production server so it doesn't have much
activity. We originally upgraded to TSM 5.1.0 and had problems with copy
storage pool not being able to use private tapes and we use private in our
libraries instead of scratch. TSM had us upgrade to 5.1.1.0 and this
corrected the problem. We also had some tape drive errors even though the
drives were functioning. We corrected this by updating the ATAPE device
driver code to the latest level:

Other than those two problems everything seems to be working fine. Good

ready to upgrade all of our production servers.
