Yes, but in theory, you could have files that are 30 years old. Or for that
matter, 300, or 3000 or nnnnnn years old. e.g. if the user creates a file on
the first of the month, and updates on the
first of every month, on month 31, you'll have copies that are 30 months old.
User doesn't want that.
