Well, the good news is, you're backing up really fast!

Do you have a dbbackup trigger defined?
You can set that up so that when your log hits a threshold (since you know
it's filling fast, say 50% full), TSM automatically fires a DB incremental
backup.

You could have the incremental go to tape if your tape is fast, or to disk
if you want it faster.
When the incremental finishes, TSM SHOULD clear the log.

That might take care of your problem, if that client is backing up many
small files and doesn't keep the log pinned. If the client keeps the log
pinned, it won't help. But it's harmless to try.

(BTW, if you increased your log yesterday, don't forget to DECREASE it today
back to where it was - DON"T let it get to that 5.4 GB limit. If the log
DOES fill again, you need to be able to add a bit of space to get the server
back up.)
