I believe in that case - nothing. When the scheduler is started again,
it should read the new dsm.opt.  I would do a manual start/stop of
scheduler just to check syntax etc of any changes I made to dsm.opt.

After changing an option on dsm.opt I used to restart my
scheduler service and everything could work. What should
I do if I use client acceptor and it starts the scheduler.
