The only solution that comes to me is local TSM server with migration or
copy pools on virtual volumes. Local disk pool can be staging area or
begin of primary pool hierarchy.
Some kind can be also backups only in weekends (depends how much are those
"a lot of GBs").
What is the ammount of used capacity on the server in question? Do you
have any estimates on daily change rate?

Subject: Backup a remote client on a slow network....
Hi every body,
any one know any tools (or TSM Feature) that can i help us to backup a
remote machine through a slow net.
We think in "TDP for Workgroup" but this product are out of sell...
The client machines are Windows NT 4.0 and 2K.
We need a tool like a TDP for WG, maybe like a local image tape backup,
but
i dont know any...
Thank in advance for any comments about this....
Claudio...
