Good question.  I had to go to
http://www-1.ibm.com/servers/aix/products/aixos/linux/download.html and
install the rpm package manager.  The link to gzip is on the same page.
Kind of a hassle, especially if your system is a tightly controlled
production system.

Why did IBM zip up their server install with something that isn't on my
IBM
AIX system ? ? ?

anyone wish to tell me where I get  ?-gzip-?

I'm trying to deal with TSM server 4.2.2 for AIX, sigh :-(
