It would be better if perhaps in this case the Backup STGPOOL would end with
a RC=4, informing of a minor error.

We have error monitoring that tells us whenever a tape is unavailable,
damaged, or destroyed so we would catch this.

What other things are getting by though because Backup STGPOOL reports
success when there were problems??
