We've done some testing with the TDP for Oracle (AIX) and made some
backups. However, when I query the filespace for the node in question it
comes back with Capacity 0.0 and Pct 0.0

Is this by design, or have we not really gotten a succesfull backup?
It's creating the filespace name I specify, and our DBA seems to think
it's working correctly.
