That is correct! In this case, TSM is not concerned about the contents of
the file, but the extension of the file since that was the only thing that
changed! It will appear that the .exe file did not exist because it
immediately expired on March 2/3 when expiration ran. Are you looking in the
actlog for when expiration ran on March 2nd/3rd? I'm not sure about the
other files on this server that didn't seem to expire?!
From the server run the following command, by the way, this command is NOT
SUPPORTED, so take heed before you use it:
tsm> show version nodemane filespace
This command will show the version of every backup file in a filespace, the
mgmtclass used to back it up, and when it occurred.
You may have to do a q filespace to get the appropriate naming convention
that the show command is looking for.
