Hi,
I am looking at upgrading an ADSM 2.? server to TSM
4.2 but am a little concerned that my database backups
will stop working.

I am using ebu to backup my Oracle 7 databases and
have been told that if I go to TSM 4.2 I will also
need to purchase the Oracle TDP. My understanging on
this is not really good, but from what I can see using
adsmpipe doesn't require additional licences where as
using the Oracle tdb does. Unfortunately, this hasn't
been budgeted for so I will have to sort something out
while I try and get the money.

Has anyone had experice with this sort of upgrade and
if so what did they have to do to ensure that backups
kept working?
