i have only set COMPRESSION=3DON in the Option Set and the client =
dsm.opt
file.

whats the different in "compression always" and "compression=3Don" ?

another question:

we have a big disk pool, so i must compress the data, the diskcopy pool =
is a
adic faststore 4000
library, i think the library also tries to compress the data once =
more..

does a DLT drive check that the data is already compressed and dont =
compress
it once more,
or are the files getting bigger when the drive writes it to tape?
