I have been running 40 TSM NT clients for over a year using the Scheduler
Service. I have seen the services fail on a few occasions and these are
usually due to either the server being unavailable for several hours, or if
the resources parameter on the client is too high.

Personally, I would ONLY run via services.. I find it far easier to
maintain.

You don't say what versions you are using. I find that V4.1.x.x client and
server (NT) work for me.
