Are you seeing the library during the BIOS startup (long before windows
starts)?  TSM wants to use the IBM LTO device driver so that needs to be
loaded and it seems you know that.  The error from the TSM driver is because
it can't see anything it knows about.

I don't remember for sure, but isn't the library at the same SCSI address as
the first drive but at a different LUN or is it a separate SCSI address.

During the bios startup you can issue a control-A to enter the Adaptec BIOS
program.  Check in there that you can see the library.

We have had at least on DOA 3583 so that would not surprise me.

Are the drives and library on the same 39160 channel?

I'm guessing the library is not being seen in the BIOS.  That could mean a
dead controller port a scsi id conflict, bad termination, etc.
