And why not just define DDS3 drive to TSM as Steve already pointed. And why
to use NT Backup of TSM is already there.
This is a small installation (if 3581 autoloader is enough for them) and
manual daily replacement of the cartridge in the DDS3 drive should not be a
big problem.

Well then you'd be up the creek.  The thought is to take periodic tape
backups or get the files off disk onto something else.
