DELete VOLHistory TODate=<somewhere in the past> Type=STGDelete
According to my docs it ought to be possible on MVS server as well.

Subject: VOLHIST contains devclasses not in use anymore
Environment: TSM server 3.7.1 on MVS
Analysing the number of VTS tapes used to backup the servers of my client I
remarked that no VTS was used querying the BACKUPS table but querying the
VOLHIST table did show some old tapes. Executing a DEL VOLHIST type=STGD
will
delete all the delete references for all tapes. Is there a possibility to
cleanup the volhistory table without destroying still valuable information?
Thanks in advance,
Michel Engels
