I saw exactly the same thing on a windows client.  I attempted to open a
PMR, but didn't have enough info to follow it through.  Based on another
note here we set the nodename parameter in the dsm.opt file.  In our case,
the problem appeared to perhaps be a problem with a lowercase registry entry
for the hostname.  Perhaps something similar with your unix client.  You
might try using the hostname option in dsm.sys to see if it helps.  I would
also encourage you to log a call with IBM.
