This is a good question. If you look up the syntax of the QUERY ACTLOG
command (HELP QUERY ACTLOG from the Admin command line), you'll see that
there is another parameter, BEGINTIME, which defaults to the current time
minus 1 hour. So if message xxxx occurred today, but not within the last
hour, then this would explain what you are seeing.

The only dumb question is the one that goes unasked.
The command line is your friend.
"Good enough" is the enemy of excellence.

Hello,

When I try the following command:
q actlog msgno=xxxx begindate=today

I get no results.

But, when i try this command:
q actlog msgno=xxxx begindate=today-1

I get results from the previous day AND today. So, does tsm consider
'today' to be real-time or is 'today' a 24 hour period begining from the
time of day that tsm was started?

thanks for your help.
