BACKUP IMAGE
Raw logical volumes being used by database,
no filesystems mounted.
I want to be able to specify which storage pool that
the backup image command will use for a specific raw volume.
I have set up a test management class IMG_TEST, copy group
and copy pool successfully.
The command line will not accept the include.image option:
IE:
> dsmc backup image include.image /dev/imgtest IMG_TEST
Returns ''Directory not found''
In dsm.sys put:
include.image /dev/imgtest IMG_TEST
backup image /dev/imgtest uses default mgmt class
In dsm.sys put
include.image * IMG_TEST
This works, but thus limits me to only one mgmt class.
I have tried various combinations and variations on the command line.
All give me an error message.
Am I missing something? The documentation does not address this
specific scenario.
I will be upgrading to TSM 4.2 soon. Will this fix it?
Thanks to all in advance.
