Hi Farren!

What you are doing will delete the directories from the database,
the only question is when.

If you use on client concerned explicit managemnt class for directories,
then this one will apply.
If you do not use explicit directory management class (DIRMC),
then the management class with longest retention period will be used to
expire your directories.

If such determined time to expire is too long for you to wait,
create a new management class, let us name it QuickExpire, with very
short retention times,
unschedule any common backups for this client,
use it on your client as directory management class (DIRMC),
comment the exclude.dir statement out,
do backup this diretcory and only this one tree again,
uncomment the exclude.dir statement,
change the DIRMC to its previous value (maybe none, thus default=the
class with longest retention period, see above)
re-activate schedules common backups for this client,
and have a sweet sleep.

best regards

mit freundlichen Grüßen
