Hi i am having a serious problem.


The Workplace:

TSM Server 4.2.1.4 "Windows NT"
Qualstar Library TLS-8433 (Firmware 2.12)
IBM Ultrium 3580 drives (Firmware 16E0)


The situation is like this:

When i move data or run Space Reclimation i constatnly recive I/O errors from
TSM Server due to a Read and Write errors.

they look like this

I don4t know if this is the problem but every time i restart my machine i get
these 2 errors in my "System Event Log"

"The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( Ultrium ) could not be found.
It contains the following insertion string(s): \Device\Tape0."

and this one

"The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( Ultrium ) could not be found.
It contains the following insertion string(s): \Device\Tape1."

I am using "IBM Ultrium Tape Drivers (3580, T200, TX200)
they are version "1.1.7.7"


When i am getting these I/O Errors i am getting these errors in my "System
Event Log"

First this one

"The device, \Device\ScsiPort1, did not respond within the timeout period. "

Then this one

"A check condition error has occured on device \Device\lb0.0.0.1 during Move
Medium with completion code DD_MEDIA_NOT_EJECTED. Refer to the device's SCSI
reference for appropriate action.

 Dump Data: byte 0x3E=KEY, byte 0x3D=ASC, byte 0x3C=ASCQ "


This is what i have tryed so far.

I have changed the SCSI Terminator.
I have changed the SCSI Atapder.
I have changed all the SCSI Cabels.

Please Help me
