Subject: 4.2.1 tape problem

Here I go again.

Yesterday I had a library problem in that tapes were not mounting in rmt1.
24 tapes tried to mount in that drive, one after the other but TSM just
seemed to put them away once it decided the tape was not mounted properly in
the drive.

This morning TSM tried to backup tape to offsite volumes and reports this:

ANR1229W Volume U00257 cannot be backed up - volume is offline or access
mode is "unavailable" or "destroyed".

If I q vol acc=unav or destr nothing comes back. Q vol U01127 f=d shows it's
in read write status also. All 24 tapes are in the library, available and
have data. I changed the status on each tape to unavailable and back to
readw and now the process is working.
