Yesterday i had similar trouble with restores to an other node.
I wanted to do some restorespeed-tests and thought that everyting could be
done by a script.
i tried the following at NODE NT3 (NT2 is a filer)
dsmc restore -subdir=yes -fromnode=NT1 \\NT1\D$\ \\NT2\E$\
everytime there where no files found, i think i should grant access for NT3,
but i do not like to
spread access over nodes. Using the gui you can get access by using your own
admin userid at 2nd logon.
Where can i find that feature in dsmc - i miss something like userid=... ?
my second try was
dsmc -node=nt1 restore -subdir=yes \\NT1\D$\ \\NT2\E$\
this has 2 problems: I don't know the password of node1 (generated) and
you can either set options for restore subcommand or for the main dsmc
command -
both isn't working: commandline parser error
maybe you can put the restore command into a macro, but there should be an
easier way....
Any ideas?
