I think it's a lot faster to let the client find it.
Start the client (dsm on AIX)
Click RESTORE
Pull down VIEW, Active and Inactive
Click the SEARCH icon (the magnifying glass on the AIX client)
Type in the name of the filesystem as "start path"
Type in the name of the file to search for (you can search on partial names)
Click SEARCH
Let the client do the walking!
