Is it possible to EXPORT node data from a source server and then IMPORT them
into a target server using the Server to Server feature?

All discussion on Server to Server in the Admin Guide seems to focus on
Virtual Volume storage. This doc does not indicate whether data EXPORTed to
a target server can then be IMPORTed into the same target server -- it only
states that EXPORT data residing on virtual volumes of the target server can
then be IMPORTed to a third server. This seems to imply that it cannot be
IMORTed into the second (target) server. Correct?

If so, then an alternate method I thought of might be to EXPORT the node
data locally to native source server devices, and then issue the IMPORT
command from the target server. If a third server can IMPORT data from the
target (second) server, then it seems logical to assume that the target
server should be able to IMPORT directly from the source server....

Except, I'm concerned that the Server to Server feature may apply
exclusively to the use of Virtual Volumes, in which case this alternate
method might not work either, because this data was EXPORTed to local
volumes, rather than Virtual Volumes.
Any insights or advice on how we might accomplish this task would be most
welcome.
Thanks, in advance.
