Hi *SM-ers!
The security policies on our AIX clients are currently under evaluation.
I was asked whether TSM backups (and restores) can run under any other user
than root. They suggested the BACKUP userid, which was introduced in AIX
4.2.
Are there people who are willing to share their experiences with backups and
restores through the BACKUP userid? What are the pros and cons?
Thanks in advance for your reply!
Kindest regards,
Eric van Loon
