Unfortunately archiving is not going to work because it will create
redundant copies of unchanged files every week which raises his storage
costs. Unlimited 5 year retentions of backups would have the same
effect. He doesn't have a file system structure that lends itself to
archiving via incl/excl. If I can use daily, weekly and monthly incr via
different node names he won't have redundant archives of all the
unchanged files every week or month, just the changed ones via the incr.
This is where his storage costs would be reduced and he could still do
daily, weekly and monthly point it time restores.

So the question still stands. Is this technique viable? I have been
informed that running three schedule services on netware won't work so
the customer will have to cron the backups himself rather than use the
server/client scheduler.
