I upgraded my TSM server from 4.1 to 4.1.3 and I attached LTO 3581 to TSM
4.1.3
I encountered problems in restore my files.
(1.)
There was nothing happened after I entered restore command .
I use " q act " and I got the log as follows:
GENDRV_TAPE0 (\\.\TAPE0) is in use
I use " q mount " and I got the log as follows:
ANR8329I LTO volume TP1 is mounted R/W in drive GENDRV_TAPE0
(\\.\TAPE0), status: IDLE.
05/21/2001 19:28:30 ANR8334I 1 volumes found.
I use " dismount TP1" and I got the log as follows:
ANR8499I Command accepted.
ANR2017I Administrator ADMIN issued command: QUERY ACTLOG
ANR8376E I/O error on drive GENDRV_TAPE0 (\\.\TAPE0)

'Messages' manual for recommended action.
ANR9999D pvrntp.c(1825): Error writing EOT to NTP volume TP1.
If I close the GUI after I backup or restore , I won't get the error again.
What does it mean ?
(2.)
In TSM server 4.1 , I can see the library volume after I label it , no
matter I use command line or server utility .
In TSM server 4.1.3 , I have to enter the command " CHECKIN libvol lb4.0.0.5
search=yes status=scratch " to check it in.
Why ? Why ? Why ? Did I do something wrong ?
