If logging is turned off, you can use the TDP for Domino agent to do
incremental or selective backups; incremental backups will backup all
database files that have changed since the last backup, and selective
backups will backup all files.

If you turn circular logging on, you can only do selective backups.
Period.

If you turn archival logging on, you can do incremental or selective
backups. If you do incrementals, you need to backup both the database
files and the transactions logs, because the only database files that
will get backed up during an incremental backup are those who have a DB
ID number that has changed since the last backup.

Let me repeat. Running incremental backups of Domino using TDP while
archival logging is turned on will *not* backup a database file just
because data has been added or altered. Instead, the transactions logs
can be backed up.

I went round and round with Tivoli Support on this for a couple of
months, until I finally hooked up with a level 2 tech who knew something
about TDP for Domino.
