Don,

I'm not sure about TSM 3.7 or 4.1, but under ADSM 3.1, the memory for the
DB buffer pool is NOT pinned.

An agressively large buffer with default memory tuning resulted in the
pages of the buffer pool being paged to disk.

I haven't tested 4.1 because I've had little desire for a 98% performance
reduction!

Is the BUFPoolsize parameter similar to the SGA of an
Oracle database?  If I set this parameter to 262144
will that pin 256 MB of Memory for the database?
