Welcome to the world of Microsoft. Windows does not support remote
installs of any kind. Commercial packages that support bare metal
restores of Windows boxes generally use a boot floppy that pulls an
install image from a remote server onto a temporary partition on the
target box. Since Microsoft only supports local installs for Windows,
it's the only way to do it.
