Neat trick.

I 'simulate' a disaster situation and give myself a CD-Rom in which I have
burned a (less then 650M) backupset of my last backup and a new 4.1.2
client downloaded from Tivoli.

I take it home to my testing maching (no network) and try to 'restore' it.

Guess what!!!!!   The client won't work until it "hits up" the
server at least once.  DUH!!!!   a little catch-22 here guys!!!!!! not
well thought out!!!!! DUH!!!!!

Has anybody run into this and figured it out??  IE I can't run a restore
of a backup set because the install routine insists on touching the server
at least once before letting me get past the opening screen on the gui.

will the command line work with this requirement (ran out of time)
