There are a number of ways to do this, without moving the data across the
LAN.

1. Use the SAN Storage Agent on the TSM Client side to move the data from
SAN disk to SAN tape. The meta data goes from the TSM Client to the TSM
server over the LAN. There are limitations with this because SAN agents are
not yet available for all platforms.

2. Use Tape Sharing - make the TSM Server the Library Manager and on the TSM
Client install another copy of the TSM Server and make this a Library
Client. The data goes from the TSM Client to the Library Client and is
written to tape by the library client. The meta data stays on the Library
Client TSM Server.
