yes, this error is known, and I have reported it to Tivoli more then
3 months ago (problem # 37565). The problem is still open. This is why
I'm saying, that a working TSM client for Macs currently does not
exist.
Apparently, the problem only occurs when lots of files are restored
(e.g. when restoring a folder) and the backups have left the disk pools,
hence tapes have to be mounted. It is NOT limited to backups made by older
client versions, though APAR IC27847, which I was referred to, states this.
In one case, I could circumvent the problem by creating a backup set and
transfering it to client. Restore from this backup set worked fine.
