Did you start out long ago (earlier than 3.7.4) running the 9840's as
Generictape?
I've always run them as CART.

I don't know how to get them back to Generictape if the server is
recognizing them as CART.

I ran into this problem once on a WinNT system with a certain type of 4mm
drive; never did figure it out, had to back level the system to get back to
the old driver.  If Tivoli can tell you how to do it, I would be interested
in knowing what you find out!
