Dan,

Go to adsm.org and search for posts by me about LTO libraries. Lots of good
stuff there that I won't regurgitate here.

I think the technology is great: drives and libraries. However, the
implementation in these very early days leaves somethings to be desired.
That said, sticking to NT rather than W2K and to AIX probably offers nothing
but goodness.

For those of you contemplating using LTO in a SAN, careful there too. There
are some problems making that work. We're involved in a situation now where
we're working through a number of issues with various drivers and hardware.
I'll post once we've got a solution but for now approach this with caution.
Anyone who has made an LTO library work with a SAN Data Gateway, I'd love to
hear about it.

Thanks,

Kelly J. Lipp
