LinuxClient fails on some files
2001-01-25 10:49:58
HelloAll !
on a linux client
Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM)
Linux86 Backup-Archive Client
Version 4, Release 1, Level 2
we have the problem that files which contains
German Umlaute ( eg ä ) are not backed up
The corresponding error message in the dsmerror.log shows eg.
08-01-2001 21:38:07 fioScanDirEntry(): Object '/home/weber/Backup
Folder/23.10.2000/alte Projekte/WoTel/Veröffentlichungen' contains
unrecognized symbols for current locale, skipping...
Can someone give me a hint where to look for any tsm-option ... ?
or do I need a workaround ?
... I have not found this message concerning this current locale
in this list --
Is this message just only refering to settings of the OS ?

Mit freundlichen Grüßen / best regards
Rainer Wolf
