Problem labelling tapes
2001-01-23 09:25:46
Hi folks,
I need some help with this problem since IBM won't support 3.1 anymore. We just
purchased some new tapes (the 7GB ones) and I recently upgraded to 3.1.2.50. My
problem is that I can't seem to label the new tapes. I have tried something
like this:
label libvolume 3575lib search=bulk labelsource=barcode checkin=scratch
but every time ADSM tries to access the tape I get an error message such as:
01/19/01 07:40:19 ANR8355E I/O error reading label for volume 0790CF in
drive DRIVE3 (/dev/rmt4).
I can really use some help, since we have no scratch tapes left.
Thanks Miles
