Jacques,
Cannot answer your question, but thought I would pass on our experience with
ADSM and AS/400 as a server platform. We also did a "proof of concept"
awhile back with the AS/400 as the server platform, as our main application
runs on that platform also. I had previous experience with ADSM on MVS and
was very disappointed in the "functionality lag" of the AS/400 server. It
seemed that things that were implemented in the MVS and AIX servers were not
in the AS/400 version. We also ran into conflicts between BRMS and ADSM,
and found little knowledge available on how to resolve them. Consequently,
I recommended that we not use the AS/400 platform and eventually we choose
the AIX based server. We are successfully sharing a 3494 Library with the
existing AS/400-BRMS setup and very happy we did not go with the AS/400 as
the ADSM server.
Unless the move of the product to Tivoli had "breathed new life" into the
AS/400 server, then I would think seriously about putting TSM up on an
AS/400.
Just my thoughts.
Good luck.
