I have the latest Brbackup and brarchive. I think that message is just
stating "Make sure you have a version greater than those mentioned"

You are correct when I go into ADSM and issue the command q node I do not
see the current server. I have a question now.

I have an NT ADSM server backing up our SAP R/3 Oracle Database. We wanted
to create an identical server so we requested an off-line backup tape and
are now looking to completely recover the database. So I'm installing ADSM
on a different server than the original. Before, there was an ADSM server
and a separate SAP system. Now I'm installing ADSM on the same server where
I want to recover the SAP system. The ADSM database was imported into this
new system and I was able to see the tapes in the database. Is there a way
to create a node in the ADSM database? Or do I have to rename the host name
of this NT system to a node name in the ADSM database?

It looks like a combination of issues....

*The first message says you need a higher version of brbackup/brarchive
*The node name that you have defined in the backint config files is
incorrect. We use as our naming standard the <sid> id for the node name.
Log into adsm and do a "q node" to see if there is a node name that looks
correct.
*Make sure that you have configured the adsm node password in backint so
that it will connect.

That should get you past the initial errors.
Good luck.
