That's the default location. You may want to check /etc/environment to make 
sure there is not a site variable that changes the default location:

DSMSERV_DIR=/usr/tivoli/tsm/server/bin
DSMSERV_CONFIG=/usr/tivoli/tsm/server/bin/dsmserv.opt

That worked ... Thanks .but when The TSm server starts gives message
dsmserv.opt not found ,
when dsmserv.opt file is already there in /usr/tivoli/tsm/server/bin directory..

This happened to me, and I figured out that there was not enough space in
/usr when it installed.  The code is smart enough to extend /usr to
accomodate the fiels, but doesn't give the extra 16 or so meg to create the
database and dsmserv.dsk

You now have to manually create the database volumes using dsmserv format

You'll have to look up the syntax.
