Hello all,

We are having problems starting our server automatically via the INITTAB file.
The server will not start and issues the following error each time...

09/06/00 14:52:27 [ADSM] Starting Server
ANR7800I DSMSERV generated at 21:22:38 on Nov 16 1998.

ADSTAR Distributed Storage Manager for AIX-RS/6000

Our INITTAB file contains the following bit of code..

autosrvr:2:once:/usr/lpp/adsmserv/bin/rc.adsmserv >/tmp/rc.adsmserv.error 2>&1 #
Start the ADSM server
autoacs:2:once:/usr/adsm.devices/bin/rc.acs_ssi quiet >/dev/console 2>&1 #Start
the ssi agent

Our rc.adsmserv file is as per the installation.

If we issue the same command as detailed in the INITTAB file from the command
line, the Server starts fine and there are no errors in the error log. We can
also start the server by issuing a 'DSMSERV QUIET'.
We are running ADSM V3.1.2.1 under AIX V4.3.3.
Can anybody give me any pointers at to what the problem may be ?

Many thanks in advance

Nick Rutherfrod
