Just because 130 versions can be kept, doesn't mean 130 versions of
all files *will* be kept, just that if you "expire inventory" now and again,
a maximum of 130 versions of any given file will be stored / in the *SM
DB.

The trick, IMHO, is to determine an upper bound on the initial backup
(versions=1) and then go from there.  The DB and back-store may be
slightly smaller due to aggregates and compression (at client or on
tape, if in effect).  With that number calculated, you can then try to
describe how your backed-up data changes over time.  Some files
may change daily, some at operating system upgrade, for example.
Cache-type files never change, but new ones keep getting created
every day!

It's an interesting exercise that you're trying.  And just when you think
you have it nailed, something in your environment will abruptly
change. :-)   (Sorry!)
